Royal Air Force Police Land Rover "Wolf"

This model is based on photos I found of an RAF Police Landy, from the Tactical Provost Wing based at RAF Waddington.
The Hobby Boss Wolf is built mostly from the box, but with an Eduard etched metal set and Accurate Armour beacons and mounts, as well as antenna mounts from the same company.

The siren was made from the kit's TUAM antenna box, hollowed out and with a cylindrical item in the centre.

The NATO tow hook is from the Italeri Series 3 109" Land Rover as it's more detailed than the HB version.

These are the SKP resin and etched metal replacement lights... once in place they really do make a considerable difference to the look of a model.

Now with the Tamiya Olive Drab 2 base coat...

After some drybrushing I gave the model a gloss clear coat, added my custom-made decals and gave it a little wash around the raised details.  After a day Tamiya Flat Clear dulled it all back down again.

Wheels undercoated with dark green and the chassis painted black.  The SKP lights have also been fixed at this time.  So far so good.

The wheels were washed and drybrushed and the chassis drybrushed where visible...

I now need to concentrate on the interior now...
